Sarah and Nathalie are specialist teachers who provide a tailor made service based on each having over 20 years of experience teaching and working within the area of behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (SEMH).
Nathalie Downing has over twenty years’ experience as a teacher. Initially as a P.E. teacher in a Secondary Mainstream School before moving into the area of Special Educational Needs, teaching across the age groups in a Special School catering for children with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Nathalie’s interest in psychology and behaviour led to a move to work as an Outreach Teacher within Oxfordshire’s Behaviour Support Service for thirteen years before moving to work as a Specialist Outreach Teacher at a primary school for children with SEMH.
Sarah Richens has over twenty years’ experience as a teacher. Initially as a Primary School Teacher before moving into the area of Special Educational Needs, teaching in a Special Secondary School catering for children with moderate learning and complex behaviour difficulties.
Fifteen years ago Sarah made the move to an SEMH primary school to teach children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. For nine years Sarah ran the Integration and Outreach Department providing Integration opportunities for pupils to access mainstream education. As a Specialist Outreach Teacher Sarah provided support and training for schools, other settings and staff around children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Nathalie and Sarah founded Point5 Ltd…the point of behaviour to further develop their portfolio of consultancy and training to meet what lies beneath the behaviour.
